Western Conference Finals Game 1 Preview and Prediction - Oklahoma City Thunder vs Golden State Warriors

Two teams remain.

The National Basketball Association reaches its fever-pitch as the Western Conference only has two teams remaining with the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Golden State Warriors. Game 1 will be on May 16, 2016 at 9:00 p.m. ET and will be at the ORACLE Arena.

Many are anticipating this to be an epic battle as these two teams have proven to be the best, not only in the West but also in the entire league.

It is no secret that the favorites here are the Warriors as they are coming in as the defending champions and have two-time Most Valuable Player Stephen Curry on the lineup. He has been excellent all season long and has been very difficult to stop as he continues to break records and shoot from beyond the arc.

However, the Thunder are not completely unprepared for this battle as his counterpart Russell Westbrook is also one of the best superstars in the league. A guard that can shoot, pass, rebound and defend, Westbrook is a handful for anyone to guard and this should be a great battle in the West.

Furthermore, OKC still have Kevin Durant who is one of the best players in the world and can put up points in a hurry. If Oklahoma City want to get passed the Warriors, they should get steady and great performances from Durant and Westbrook.

These teams have met multiple times in the regular season, with the Warriors taking all three games.

However, it does not simply show the dominance of the Warriors, but the games have been tightly contested and the Thunder have held their own but unfortunately fell short on those occasions based on Scoresway's info.

This should still be an epic battle between two teams that are hungry for a spot in the NBA Finals – two teams that are very capable of winning it all.

In Game 1, the Thunder are looking for a big upset as they have a lot of momentum after beating the San Antonio Spurs.
