'Zoo' finale spoilers and episode 11 and 12 recap: Gearing up for an epic ending

On the season finale of "Zoo" titled "That Great Bill Hill of Hope," the official synopsis reads, Jackson and the team make a final attempt to find a cure to the worldwide animal pandemic, but hit an obstacle that may be impenetrable.

In the promo for the upcoming episode, the animals have gone wild and it seems that they are turning on the humans. The cure has been lost due to the plane crash. The teams hope dwindles as they struggle to find a way to stop the animals. The battle for survival begins.

The previous episode began with the rest of the team sans Chloe as they arrived in Zambia were they discovered that the leopards are killing randomly, which meant that these animals were merely trying to strike fear into the humans.

The team retreated after Ray accidentally caused a leopard to plow into him. The next day, the team returned and Jackson and Abe were successful in getting a young leopard cub. Unfortunately, the team had to reroute through more dangerous terrain that involved militia. The team got into a firefight that resulted in Jackson getting shot.

Meanwhile, Chloe had been kidnapped by the same person that had gotten her into the mess, Alves. Alves had been working for Reiden Global the whole time and she told Alves that she was trying to stop the company. Alves informed her that it's her team that is the mess that needed cleaning up. Alves had tortured Chloe's sister and they were both saved by Delevenne who had killed Alves.

Jackson was taken to a hospital, while the others create the cure using the stem cells. Chole and Delevenne agreed to tell the government about the animal apocalypse and get them on their side. After Jackson got patched up, the gang flew back to the United States when their plane got hit by something and the cabin lost pressure.
