Christians, do not be led astray by false prophets

Credit :

When the disciples of Christ inquired about the signs of Jesus’ return, Jesus mentioned a number of things that would happen. He also warned them to be careful so that no man deceives them. Sadly, nowadays, too many Christians let themselves be deceived.

Many false Christs are with us now.

There are many people in churches today who do not know that they have been deceived by their false prophets who have replaced the biblical Gospel with the counterfeit prosperity gospel. The message of eternity is no longer preached in many churches today, and far too many Christians are building a worldly kingdom here on earth to satisfy their flesh.

In preparation for the coming of the Antichrist, many of his agents have gone out of the fold of Christ to establish false churches (1 John 2:18-19). The purpose of these false churches is to pervert the Gospel. These false Christian leaders gather people to preach a false gospel and persuade believers to abandon Christ’s calling for holy living and embrace worldly prosperity.

Materialism is a tool used by false teachers to program the love of money into the hearts of their congregants. As soon as mammon’s seeds germinate in the lives of these gullible followers, their minds become obsessed with the acquisition of wealth to the detriment of their eternal souls. Many of us want to have it all here on earth without giving a second thought to our heavenly home and the treasures we have there.

Christians who have been groomed to pursue money, signs, and wonders will joyfully embrace the Antichrist when he comes because he will have what they are looking for: “And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men” (Revelation 13:13). With the great wonders that he will perform many would be convinced to follow him instead of Christ. That is the natural result of a mind that does not focus on heavenly things but on earthly things.

Do not be deceived. Those who fall away may not know that they are falling away until it is too late. Always be vigilant. Always.
