T-Rex Sculpture Added to Creation Museum

The Creation Museum of Answers in Genesis, a apologetics ministry focusing on providing answers to the most attacked book of the Bible—Genesis, recently added what organizers are calling the “biggest resident” of the future museum—a 40 feet long and 12 feet high Tyrannosaurus Rex dinosaur sculpture. Volunteers from Purdue University had to take off its head to be able to place the sculpture, designed by Buddy Davis, inside the building.

The $14 million museum project currently underway in Petersburg, Kentucky, was initiated five years ago with a vision to bring authority back to the Bible, according to founder of Answers in Genesis Ken Ham, who is a world-renowned speaker for his lectures on creationism in response to the theory of evolution.

His next speaking date will be at the Answers in Genesis conference May 21-22 at Robert C. Byrd High School in Clarksburg, WV. Davis will also speak at the event.

Approximately $14,000 has been raised to bring the event to the community free of charge, according to Jay Wolfe, chairman for the event.

Wolfe said the church has the responsibility of holding onto the creation worldview and to "equip ourselves with the sword of the spirit, which is the truth of God's word, and enter the science arena to battle for the hearts and minds of the young people of this generation."
