3 things to know about trans suspect who threatened mass shooting

3. Weapons belonged to suspect’s wife

Police arrested Howlett on June 27 in the parking garage of the Sunset Station casino after Howlett's spouse, Julie Howlett, reported the vehicle stolen, FOX5 Las Vegas reported. Julie Howlett said all of the more than 20 firearms recovered from the vehicle belonged to her.

“They were my guns — all of them,” she said.

Julie Howlett is a gun dealer and was in the process of transporting the firearms out of state, FOX5 reported.

The firearms recovered by police included rifles, pistols, and weapons equipped with suppressors, and several of the weapons are federally regulated items under the National Firearms Act. In addition to the firearms, police also recovered hundreds of rounds of ammunition and multiple high-capacity magazines.
