— Germany gives homeschooling family custody of kids while awaiting appeal
A Christian couple in Germany who lost custody of their children after they decided to homeschool their kids have been granted temporary custody while they await an appeal from the European Court of Human Rights challenging a law that bans homeschooling.
The parents, Dirk and Petra Wunderlich, were given custody of their youngest two of four children on Tuesday.
The Wunderlich family’s challenge to the German education law began in 2005 when their eldest child reached school age. In 2013 the family's home was raided by police and social workers, and the children were removed from their parents’ custody.
The parents are now waiting for a referral to the Grand Chamber of the European Court of Human Rights to hear their case.
— 3 American children removed from parents' home by Norway’s child services
An American woman who moved to Norway last year with her husband and 3 children is pleading with the government to release her children from child protective services.
American citizen Natalya Shutakova is speaking out after her children were removed from the family's home by Norway’s controversial child protective services agency, the Barnevernet, on May 20.
A teacher at their children's school turned the parents in to child protective services after seeing their daughter was upset during class. The child was upset because her parents had taken her new phone away from her as a disciplinary measure.
Shutakova and her husband, a Lithuanian citizen, were accused of “child mistreatment.”
More 10,000 people have signed onto a CitizenGo petition asking U.S. Vice President Mike Pence to intervene on the family’s behalf.

A Chick-fil-A restaurant was vandalized during the World LGBT Pride Parade in New York City last Sunday.
The windows of the Manhattan restaurant were vandalized with the words F-Haters written in black marker. Fortunately, no Chick-fil-A customers or employees were harmed because the restaurant was closed to observe the Sabbath.
