Cox, who was a public utilities account clerk and sang in his church’s choir, was described by colleagues as “a really sweet guy,” according to The Virginian-Pilot.

On that fateful day, he led a group of co-workers into an office and had them lock themselves in and barricade the door while he looked for more people to help.

The suspect has been identified as DeWayne Craddock who had just submitted his resignation by email Friday morning. Authorities are still searching for a motive as the gunman was within good standing with his employer.

— In other tragic news, Christians in Nigeria were killed by suspected radical Fulani herdsmen. While the police said at least five victims were killed on May 26, Rev. Luke Shehu of the Arewa Christians and Indigenous Pastors Association claimed there were at least 30 deaths.

The killings reportedly took place after protests over the murder of a Christian man.

Fulani attacks have increased greatly over the last couple of years in Christian farming communities.

— This next story has been getting a lot of buzz.

A day after President Donald Trump unexpectedly showed up at McLean Bible Church in Virginia, Pastor David Platt explained on Monday why he decided to pray for the president on stage.

Platt said after he finished his sermon, he was notified that Trump wanted the church to pray for him and that he would be there in a few minutes. Though Platt wanted to “guard the integrity of the gospel” in his church, he thought of 1 Timothy 2:1-6 and believed it is pleasing to God to pray for the president.

Platt stated that his aim was not to endorse Trump but “to obey God’s command.”

The Southern Baptist pastor also mentioned that just before the prayer, he shared the gospel with Trump backstage.

— Hollywood actress Stacey Dash, who is best known for her role in the movie “Clueless,” recently revealed that she chose life for her son during her 20s.

Dash recalled how she became pregnant during a chaotic stage in her life when she was doing drugs and feeling suicidal. She was set on getting an abortion. But when she cried out to God, she heard Him say “keep your son.” So she did.

The actress has also spoken out against Planned Parenthood, arguing that it is not pro-women and that it targets minorities.

— Here’s a story about how God transforms lives.

Janet Boynes grew up in an abusive household. She developed a hatred for men after being raped during her youth.

For 14 years, she walked away from God and engaged in a lesbian lifestyle.

It wasn’t until a church women’s group embraced her and loved her that Boynes learned the truth about the love Jesus had for her.

She was at the Freedom March in Washington, D.C., last month where she said: ”The devil thought he had me ... but God had another plan.”

Today, Boynes leads a ministry to help those struggling with homosexuality.
