2017.5 Nissan Murano Release Date, Specs, Price News: Popular Crossover Gains Midyear Enhancements for $29,770
Nissan has given its popular midsize crossover a slate of midyear enhancements to provide consumers with more value for their money. The 2017.5 Murano is now available at dealerships nationwide with a starting price of $29,770.
The Murano S trim now comes standard with Siri Eyes Free, Bluetooth and audio streaming, Nissan's Intelligent Key system, dual-zone automatic temperature control and 18-inch aluminum alloy wheels.
Murano SV ($23,970), on the other hand, adds the Nissan Connect infotainment system with navigation and Apple CarPlay, remote engine start, intelligent climate control, eight-way power driver's seat, four-way power passenger's seat and a USB port at the rear.
The Murano SL trim ($37,300) gains leather-appointed and heated front seats, Moving Object Detection (MOD), a Bose premium audio system and a power liftgate.
The range-topper Murano Platinum ($39,610) comes standard with 20-inch machine-finished aluminum alloy wheels, LED headlights, climate-controlled front seats, a heated steering wheel and Nissan Connect services.
All models come standard with front-wheel drive but prospective customers can opt for the intuitive all-wheel drive system for an additional $1,600. There will also be a $940 charge for destination and handling.
Meanwhile, Nissan has also introduced a new Midnight Edition Package for the Platinum trim ($1,195) which adds black-colored 20-inch aluminum alloy wheels, roof rails, mirror caps and splash guards. There are also optional Midnight Edition floor mats.
Also offered is the Premium Plus Package for the SV trim ($2,540) with heated front seats and outside mirrors, a power panoramic moonroof, Bose audio system with nine speakers and two subwoofers, the Driver Assistance Package (Around View Monitor with MOD, Driver Attention Alert, Blind Spot Warning and Rear Cross Traffic Alert) and 18-inch Gun Metal aluminum alloy wheels.
The 2017.5 Nissan Murano is powered by a 3.5-liter Double OverHead Cam (DOHC) V6 engine that delivers 260 horsepower and 240 pound-feet of torque. The powertrain is mated to the Xtronic continuously variable transmission (CVT).
