4 highlights from Tuesday's primaries: Mike Lindell loses; Lindsey Graham's sister advances

Results were a mixed bag for President Donald Trump and progressive Democrats as voters in six states headed to the polls Tuesday for primary elections that will determine general election matchups in this year’s midterms. 

While Trump’s preferred candidate advanced to a runoff in the South Carolina Republican primary for the U.S. Senate seat formerly held by the late Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., his endorsed candidate in the Minnesota gubernatorial primary did not achieve the same level of success.

Similarly, progressive Democrats saw their preferred candidate win the Democratic nomination for the U.S. Senate seat in Minnesota as a democratic socialist candidate came up short in the Wisconsin gubernatorial primary. 

Here are four highlights from Tuesday’s primaries.
