3. 'Only person to ever beat Jesus in a debate' was a woman
Talarico claimed that Jesus, as the Son of God, was taught new information in the scriptures.
Referring to the New Testament story of Jesus and the Syrophoenician woman who approached Jesus to heal her daughter possessed by a demon, Talarico said the unnamed woman in Mark 7 and Matthew 15 was the “only person to ever beat Jesus in a debate in the Bible.”
“The only person to ever beat Jesus in a debate in the Bible was the Syrophoenician woman,” he said. “The only person to teach Jesus something was a woman. Even the Son of God had something to learn from one of God's daughters.”
Earlier in his message, Talarico declined to define a woman, opting instead for the phrase “neighbors with a uterus.”
