4. Investigators previously searched suspect’s home on July 3
Weeks before the attack at the Berlin pride parade, investigators searched Abdul Ballout’s home, the Berlin Public Prosecutor's Office said in a Sunday statement.
Authorities conducted the search at Ballout’s address in Berlin-Schöneberg on July 3 based on the initial suspicion of a violation of Germany's Weapons Act.
After finding only a toy gun during the search, the case was dismissed.
