The stimulus package is expected to create a fund of $350 billion to benefit small businesses by helping to mitigate layoffs connected to the pandemic response and to support payroll.

Also included is a measure to make $500 billion available to the Treasury Department for making loans, loan guarantees, and investments on behalf of industries harmed by the pandemic, according to CNBC.

There will also be $10 billion set aside for airport relief, an additional $50 billion in relief to airlines as loans or grants, $8 billion to benefit cargo carriers, and $17 billion for “businesses critical to maintaining national security,” noted CNBC.
