1. Shooter and ex-wife were cousins: report
According to The Providence Journal, Robert Dorgan and his ex-wife, Rhonda, shared the same last name before their 1992 marriage.
Citing court records, the Journal reported the former couple are “first cousins, once removed,” meaning the victim’s grandfather was the gunman’s uncle.
Her parents, Gerald and Linda Dorgan, were also wounded in the shooting and remained in critical condition as of Wednesday.
