Just one day before killing his ex-wife and son, Dorgan replied angrily to a X post from actor Kevin Sorbo by suggesting criticism of the transgender movement is the reason why trans-identified individuals “go berserk." 

In response to a post from Sorbo in which he called trans-identified Rep. Sarah McBride “a man,” Dorgan replied, “[K]eep bashing us but do not wonder why we Go BERSERK.”

Following the shooting, Sorbo later called Dorgan a “psychopath” whose mental illness was “ignored.”
