5 disturbing claims from suspect in crucifixion-style killing of Arizona pastor

5. Says he has a 'plan to rid the earth of evil'
Near the end of the interview, Sheafe — who believes we are living in the "End Times" — said he has a "plan to rid the earth of evil," adding, "I mean, do you really think that this is normal? I think these are the End Times, these are the last days."
He later denied that he believed God called him to carry out the murder.
"Did God ask me to do this? Absolutely not," he said. "I did it on my own because … I got sick and tired and fed up."
Pointing to the cultural landscape, including pornography, drugs and the "sanctity of marriage [being] completely eroded," Sheafe added, "It's vicious out there."
As the interview came to close, he again appeared to call Jesus "the son of Satan" and himself as "everyone's oldest father." "I am the lion. I'm called evil, and the preacher preaching that someone other than God, the son of Satan, is God is considered good. And so what did I do? I struck because I'm everyone's oldest father, and daddy's going to strike."
