5. 'Way of the Warrior Kid' — Apple TV, Nov. 25

Chris Pratt takes on the role of mentor in “Way of the Warrior Kid,” an upcoming Apple TV film about courage, discipline and helping a struggling child discover his own strength.

Based on former Navy SEAL Jocko Willink’s bestselling novel, the film follows Marc, played by “Belfast” star Jude Hill, an 11-year-old struggling with bullying, academics, athletics and making friends.

His life begins to change when his injured uncle Jake, a decorated Navy SEAL played by Pratt, comes to spend the summer with Marc and his mother, Sarah, played by Linda Cardellini.

Jake creates “Operation Warrior Kid,” a training program based on his experience as a SEAL. But instead of simply teaching Marc how to fight back against his bullies, Jake helps his nephew develop discipline, confidence and courage while confronting struggles of his own.

Though “Way of the Warrior Kid” is not explicitly a faith-based film, Pratt has been outspoken about the central role his Christian faith plays in his life and particularly in how he approaches fatherhood.

“I care enough about Jesus to take a stand, even if it cost me,” Pratt told The Christian Post in a 2025 interview. “It could cost me everything, but I don't care. It's worth it to me because this is what I'm called to do; it’s where my heart is.”

The father of four told CP he wants his children to grow up knowing that their father was “unashamed of his faith in Jesus” and understood “the power of prayer, and the grace and the love and the joy that can come from a relationship with Jesus.”

“You don't hear that a lot from people in entertainment, but it's who I am,” Pratt said. “I'm not going to hide behind it. A city on a hill cannot be hidden.”

Directed by McG, “Way of the Warrior Kid” also stars Levi McConaughey, Ava Torres, Darien Sills-Evans and Parker Young. It premieres Nov. 25 on Apple TV.
