Mark Wahlberg teams up with Jonathan Roumie for prayer app ad
One of Hollywood's biggest movie stars and the actor who portrays Christ Jesus on the hit series "The Chosen" teamed up for a Super Bowl ad encouraging people to pray during Lent this year.
Mark Wahlberg, 52, appeared along with Jonathan Roumie in a 30-second Super Bowl commercial for Hallow, a Catholic prayer and meditation app.
In the commercial, Wahlberg and Roumie are seen in separate moments of prayer and reflection as Wahlberg says, "God, we take this moment just to give You thanks."
The ad encouraged viewers to "join over 100 million people in prayer during the big game."
The Hallow app is said to offer on-the-go prayer devotionals along with customizable daily prayer routines.
