With primary election season winding down, Tuesday’s primaries produced another Democratic primary victory for a progressive candidate seeking statewide office, while a lawmaker under investigation for reported misconduct with women lost his primary. President Donald Trump’s endorsements loomed large in Tuesday’s Republican primaries, with most of his preferred candidates winning as others came up short.
