3. Allen’s sister told investigators how he obtained the guns and kept them hidden
Allen’s sister told investigators he had legally purchased two handguns and a shotgun and stored them at their parents’ home without their knowledge, according to NBC News.
Records show he purchased a .38-caliber semi-automatic pistol in October 2023 and a 12-gauge shotgun in August 2025. Both were recovered at the scene.
She said Allen regularly visited a shooting range and had made radical statements, including references to doing “something” to fix the world’s problems.
She also said he was associated with a group called “The Wide Awakes” and had attended at least one “No Kings” protest in California, according to CBS News.
Allen’s brother later contacted police after receiving the manifesto. Authorities confirmed they were notified and alerted federal law enforcement.
Trump told Fox News that family members had previously raised concerns about Allen, describing him as a “very troubled guy.”
