1.  The Adventist Development and Relief Association

The Adventist Development and Relief Association, the “international humanitarian arm of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church,” has been collecting donations for its Giving Tuesday campaign for several weeks. ADRA announced that because “the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic have made bad situations worse in many parts of the world,” “our Giving Tuesday campaign has started early and it’s a match, to help as many families as possible.”

For every dollar donated to the ADRA by 11:59 p.m. Tuesday, the organization will triple the gift with a $3 match. As of Monday afternoon, the ADRA had raised $925,000 for Giving Tuesday, out of a goal of $1.3 million.

Most recently, ADRA deployed to Central America, which has been ravaged by two major hurricanes, Eta and Iota, that made landfall in the region within a period of two weeks. The humanitarian organization has worked to provide food, clothes and personal hygiene items to those impacted by the storms.
