‘God’s man for this job’: 7 conservative Christians react to Mike Johnson becoming speaker

The Rev. Franklin Graham, president of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and Samaritan’s Purse, took to his official Facebook account to offer congratulations.

“Congratulations to Congressman Mike Johnson of Louisiana who was just elected as Speaker of the House! He had unanimous Republican support,” Graham posted.

“Last night after he was elected, he asked the entire GOP to stop and bow their heads and pray with him. That is so great to see.”

Graham added that he believed Johnson was “God’s man for this job,” calling on people “to stop right now and pray for him—that God would protect him and his family and God would use him to help lead our nation through these troubled times.”
