'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' Season 3: Arrival of Ward 2.0

The upcoming episode of "Agents of S. H. I. E. L. D." is expected to see the unexpected return of a character.

The midseason finale of "Agents of S. H. I. E. L. D." season 3 showed Agent Phil Coulson, played by Clark Gregg, killing Agent Grant Ward, played by Brett Dalton. However, surprising news hit the web when it was revealed that Agent Ward will be returning to the series.

It was revealed that an Inhuman was able to get inside Ward's dead body. With that, the Inhuman began to head to Earth. With that, the actor had shared some details regarding his upcoming return. He explained that while Ward's body will still be present, Dalton will be portraying a new kind of character in the upcoming season, which is expected to make the story line more interesting.

According to IGN, Dalton stated, "But in many ways this is probably the hardest iteration of this character because we aren't dealing with a 'human being' anymore. This is Ward 2.0. This is a human being plus something else, this is a human body being occupied by a creature that's been around for centuries. You'll have to tune in and watch to see just where it goes."

With that, it was reported that the return of the season will surely put more focus on the idea of Inhumans. Ward's new character will be bringing new ideas to the upcoming episodes of the hit Marvel series.

The executive producer of the series recently shared some details about the Ward's death. It was reported that Jeff Bell stated how they were eager to give Ward a meaningful death, as well as empower Coulson, who was struggling with his humanity.

"Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." season 3 is expected to return with its 11th episode this Mar. 8, 2016.
