Amazon Kindle Fire vs. Apple iPad 2: Which Tablet is Better? (VIDEO)

Apple's iPad 2 may finally have a competitor with Amazon's soon-to-be released Kindle Fire device.

Amazon's new Kindle Fire tablet will come with a full color, 7-inch multi-touch display. Over 16 million colors will display on the device.

A dual-core processor powers the device and it allows for instant web surfing through Amazon Silk. The 8 GB hard drive space is contained on the tablet, and free cloud storage is available to users who have all types of media content they wish to store.

Amazon Prime offers users of the device and club members unlimited, instant streaming of over 10000 popular movies and TV shows. Several thousand Android applications are readily available upon launch.

The Chicago Sun Times gave a positive review of the Kindle Fire: "The Fire is the real deal and it’s going to disrupt the equilibrium of the existing market for media devices."

Amazon's Kindle Fire will be available for $199 on Nov. 15.

Apple's iPad 2 currently stands at the top of the tablet market. It's screen size comes in at 9.7-inches, and the tablet comes with a dual-core A5 chip, front- and rear-facing cameras, LED-backlight display, Smart Cover compatibility, iOS software system, iCloud, Wi-Fi and 3G capabilities.

Over 90000 apps can be downloaded for the iPad 2 through Apple's App store.

The iPad 2 comes in 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB versions. The prices for the tablets range from $499 to $829.
