Apple Being Sued by 27,000 iPhone Users?
In a class action suit against Apple Inc., 26,691 South Korean iPhone owners seek 1 million won in damages.
The group claims that Apple breached their privacy with the iPhone's location tracking capabilities that collected data without previous consent.
With roughly 27,000 people in the mass-suit against the California-based firm, Apple could be penalized up to $25 million.

The law firm in charge of filing the suit, Mirae Law, said it filed the case to the District Court in the city of Changwon, south of Seoul, and mentioned that 921 more iPhone owners would be added to the growing number of complainants against Apple.
The Korea Times reported that Mirae Law is currently recruiting more iPhone owners to join a "second round" of the suit until August 31.
The law firm also launched a website (sueapple.co.kr) entitled "Sue Apple" where current iPhone owners can apply online to join the suit.

This isn't the first time Mirae Law is challenging Apple for the iPhone's illegal tracking function.
The ordeal started when a lawyer from the same firm, Kim Hyeong-Suk, filed a similar lawsuit against Apple.
As a result, Apple in Korea paid Kim $950 in damages after a court ruling.
According to Bloomberg, Steve Park, a spokesman for Apple, declined to comment on the case.
