Rumors surrounding the iPhone 5 have been swirling for two whole years now and rumored features have been intensifying over recent weeks.

If rumors are to be believed, the iPhone 5 will come with a larger 4-inch screen with the new in-cell touch technology.

The next generation iPhone will also likely feature a uni-body design and a new smaller 9-pin dock connector, replacing the existing 30-pin one.

The event is also set to see the unveiling of Apple's new mobile operating system, iOS 6, along with the new iPhone. The iOS 6 is expected to boast a number of new features including 3D mapping, native Facebook integration and a lot more.

It is also believed that the new iPhone 5 will come with iOS 6 pre-installed and will be completely scalable to a larger 640 x 1136 display.

Other new iPhone 5 features are thought to include a much-improved processor, 4G LTE technology, Near Field Communication (NFC), 1GB RAM, liquid metal casing, a much-improved battery life, an 8 megapixel (or even higher) rear camera and a 2 megapixel front-facing camera for video chatting.
