The Japanese anime director, Tetsuro Araki spoke to Bessatsu Shonen magazine about the upcoming season of the anime series. He explained, "It's rare to adapt manga with a storyline that's this impressive, so I will be extra cautious. Whether it's season 1 or season 2, I'll be mentally prepared to face the production challenges."

Meanwhile, there have been other speculations on what the upcoming season of "Attack on Titan" will be able. The premiere season of the anime did not share much detail about how Titans came to be. With that, some fans believe that season 2 will focus on the origin story of the titans.

In addition, there are speculations that the season will also feature more of the Survey Corps. It was speculated that the series will take the manga arc concerning the fall of the Wall Sina. This is also expected to bring some details about the past of the Titans.

However, some believe otherwise since the arc is supposedly slow-paced. With that, it is unlikely that the season will focus solely on that storyline.

"Attack on Titan" Season 2 is expected to air later this year.
