Stores are spending a great deal, no pun intended, of effort to pull consumers through their doors.

Wal-Mart will be offering a line of discounted electronics such as RCA 46” LCD HDTV for $499.98, which usually sells for $649, and Toshiba 40” LCD HDTV, which regularly sells for $549.98.

Dell will provide Companion Deals for $699.99 from Nov. 7 until Nov. 11. The first deal offers a discount of 47 percent on two computers-an Inspiron 14R laptop (with 2nd Gen Intel Core i3 processor, 6GB memory, 640GB hard drive), and Dell Inspiron Duo convertible laptop.

The second deal is a Dell 620s slim tower desktop (with 2nd Gen Intel Core i3 processor) and a Dell Duo convertible laptop.

Staples will be focused on electronics, with discounts like $100 off Panasonic ZS8 digital camera ($179.99) and $100 off Canon PowerShort SX 150 ($149.99) take advantage of savings of up to $200 on popular laptops like a Samsung 11.6” which includes a full version of Microsoft Office Home and Student ($499.99).
