Bruce Willis Donates Ski Resort: Action Hero Donates to Non-Profit to Ensure Future of Area

Bruce Willis has donated a ski resort in Idaho to a non-profit group saying that he believes the generous move would help ensure the area's future.

The actor is better known for being one of Hollywood's top action hard men, but Willis has proven to people he can inspire people in real life as well as in the movies.

Rumors of Willis' generosity began swirling last month but it has now been reported that he has in fact gone through with the kind gesture and officially donated the ski resort this week, as the United States celebrates Thanksgiving.

According to The Inquisitr, Willis has said: "I couldn't be more pleased with the organization that will be responsible for the management of the Soldier Mountain Ski Area.

"The community came together, established the SMSA organization, and now assures its continued success," said Willis. "It was exciting to see that the very people who ski at Soldier care so much about its future. I wish them the very best."

Willis is probably best known for acting in the role of John McClane in the Die Hard series. However, he has also appeared in over 60 films, including box office successes like Pulp Fiction (1994), 12 Monkeys (1995), The Fifth Element (1997), Armageddon (1998), The Sixth Sense (1999), Unbreakable (2000), and Sin City (2005).

According to reports, motion pictures featuring Willis have grossed somewhere between $2.64 billion and $3.05 billion at North American box offices. That currently makes him the ninth highest-grossing actor in a leading role, and 12th highest including supporting roles.

Willis is also a two-time Emmy Award–winning, Golden Globe Award–winning and four-time Saturn Award–nominated actor.

The actor was of course married to actress Demi Moore, having three daughters with her before their divorce in 2000, after 13 years of marriage. He is currently married to model Emma Heming, with whom he has one daughter.
