'Call of Duty: WWII' News: More Multiplayer Details Trickling Out as Game Becomes Playable

Multiplayer maps available on launch day also revealed

With "Call of Duty: WWII" nearing its official release, it should probably come as no surprise that some fans have already managed to secure their copies and check out the latest installment of this first-person shooter franchise ahead of almost everyone else.

Initially, reports indicated that those early copies actually were not playable, but that has, apparently, changed.

Charlie Intel has been on top of all things concerning the recent leaks about the game, and according to a recent report from the website, a patch deployed for the PlayStation (PS4) version has now made it accessible.

Access to the game is still limited at this point, but some fans have already been able to check out what it contains.

According to a separate report from the website, 10 regular multiplayer maps can already be seen in the game.

The 10 multiplayer maps include Aachen, Ardennes Forest, Flak Tower, Gibraltar, Gustav Cannon, London Docks, Pointe Du Hoc, Sainte-Marie-du-Mont, and USS Texas. Players who own the Season Pass will also be able to access Carentan.

In addition to the multiplayer maps, the launch day edition of "Call of Duty: WWII" will also reportedly contain three War Mode operations. The three operations are Breakout, Griffin and Neptune.

One more report from the aforementioned website reveals that bots can be used in multiplayer mode for Private Matches. War Mode can also support bots, with up to 12 player slots available.

It is still unclear if the version of the game some players are getting to try out now will be completely similar to the one that becomes widely available on launch day or if a few changes will be made. However, at the very least, fans now have some idea of what to expect.

For those who are still unable to play "Call of Duty: WWII," the wait is not going to last that much longer for them, as the game is set to go live on Nov. 3.
