On social media, former NFL star Tim Tebow said he was “shocked and devastated” by Kirk’s death. 

“Above all else, Charlie was a follower of Jesus, a husband, and a dad. He was a man of passion, courage, and devotion to making an eternal impact.

Demi and I are praying for Erika, his two children, and everyone who loved him,” he wrote.

Tebow’s wife, Demi, told The Christian Post on Thursday that she and her husband are in “deep prayer” for Kirk’s wife and two children.

“Being a mom, a new mom, and a wife that adores my husband so deeply, I can't imagine what she's going through, and I can't imagine what their kids are going through,” the former Miss Universe said. “We are in prayer with her and for her and for her children, this is such a hard moment to walk through, and we are lifting her up in prayer often.”
