Chris Tomlin Extends 'How Great is Our God' Tour

Passion Conferences and sixstepsrecords will present a limited-run extension of the "How Great Is Our God Tour" this fall, featuring award-winning worship songwriter Chris Tomlin and noted author/speaker Louie Giglio.

The original 32-city U.S. tour held January through March of this year included numerous sell-outs and great reviews, and fueled a public desire for more events.

The fall leg of the "How Great Is Our God Tour" opens Oct. 6 in Nashville, Tenn., and is currently scheduled to conclude Nov. 15.

"'How Great Is Our God' is not just a title of a song, or a name for a tour. Instead the simple phrase 'sing with me and all will see' is the heartbeat of the tour – every night, a room filled with people seeing and singing of the greatness of God," said Tomlin last December.

In March, the publication PARADE called Tomlin the most popular artist in religious music because "he wrote or co-wrote three of the 10 most popular songs sung in churches each week, including 'How Great Is Our God' – which puts his reach beyond that of most rock stars."

In April, Tomlin won the Gospel Music Association's Artist and Male Vocalist of the Year awards for the second consecutive year in addition to three other honors.

Louie Giglio, whose spoken words will complement Tomlin's music each night on the "How Great Is Our God Tour," is the founder of the Passion worship movement.

Tomlin is in Australia this week where he is taking part in the Hillsong Conference alongside Grammy-winner Steve Curtis Chapman.

Last month, he performed at Frenzy, one of the largest one-day Christian music festivals in the United Kingdom.
