Lastly, Bible teacher Beth Moore, who said she had an incredible year filled with highs and lows, shared her top nine photos of 2019 and offered some new year encouragement to her followers.

“May Christ make Himself more and more apparent in His activity and affection toward you in 2020. And, when He seems nowhere to be found, know this: He is not one atom less active nor does He have on[e] atom less affection for you. The love of God, is the top nine out of nine every year of a believing life. Here’s to looking ahead, to all He’s willing to show us in the year of our Lord, 2020,” Moore said on Instagram.

Hey everybody! Happy last day of 2019! A year is way too long to not include all manner of heartache and disappointment and laughter and weeping and defeat and victory and high and low. But, for my household, it beat 2018 by 100 country miles. I thank God for it. According to Top Nine, these were my top nine posts on Instagram. I thought it was a pretty good cross-section but why on earth, I ask you, did they cut off half of my husband’s head?? I am thankful I’d just posted that picture yesterday so you can clearly see he does have a top half to his head. He wears a baseball cap a good bit so I did not want to leave you wondering. By the way, did y’all notice the special treat on my Instagram story last night? I don’t mean bananas foster either. I mean that my man actually said hi to y’all. Lol. To say he is not one to care a whit about social media is an understatement. And I’d like to go on record thanking God for it but my reasons shall remain private. But they may have something to do with his language. The thing that really tickled me about the top nine was, of all the videos I put up through the year, y’all’s favorite was the one when I’d had a terrible morning and was comforting myself with a cheeseburger, strawberry lime aid and tater tots with ketchup at the sonic drive-in. At least I’m almost certain that’s what the picture with the sunglasses comes from. I could not love y’all more because of this. Some days only tots will do. I’d treat every last one of you to sonic today if I could. Anyway, it’s been a tremendous privilege to serve you in 2019. I’ve had a lot of fun on here with you and, though Twitter tends to be my main jam, I so enjoy that the tone is different on Instagram. Thank y’all for giving me space on your screen this year. May Christ make Himself more and more apparent in His activity and affection toward you in 2020. And, when He seems nowhere to be found, know this: He is not one atom less active nor does He have on atom less affection for you. He, loved of God, is the top nine out of nine every year of a believing life. Here’s to looking ahead, to all He’s willing to show us in the year of our Lord, two thousand twenty.
