Christian Mother Does the Impossible, Forgives Son's Killer and Invites Him to Live Next Door (VIDEO)

Mary Johnson's son and only child, 20-year-old Laramiun Byrd, was gunned down at a party in 1993. No one would fault the Minneapolis mother for saying his killer was "an animal" that "deserved to be caged." Indeed, Oshea Israel, the 16-year-old killer, was tried as an adult and sentenced to 25 and a half years.

However, as a Christian, Johnson wanted to follow Jesus' example, and that led her to forgiveness. See the impossible relationship that grew out of the mystery of God's love and mercy in this CBS News story.
