The Rev. Franklin Graham, head of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, posted to his official Facebook page that his "thoughts and prayers are with former President Jimmy Carter." He also stressed that the Carters had been married for 77 years, longer than any other presidential couple.

"In his statement, he said, 'She gave me wise guidance and encouragement when I needed it. As long as Rosalynn was in the world, I always knew somebody loved and supported me,'" Graham quoted. "I'm sure that he and the family would be grateful for our prayers."
