There's still a long way to go until the arrival of the sophomore season of web television series "Daredevil." Fortunately, the web is never short of any updates about it. The most recent reports say that a new trailer has been released during the secret screening in Comic Con Experience in Brazil.
But according to Comic Book, heavy security prohibited the attendees of the event to take photographs for videos. That didn't stop others from leaking information though as a Tumblr user by the name Cherryvane narrated a detailed description of the said footage.
According to the Tumblr user, the video clip kicked off with Matt Murdock in his crimson Daredevil costume. He is seen walking into a dimly-lit room which seems like a big refrigerator where butchered meat is hanging from the ceiling off of metal hooks. He then hears something and realizes that there are people hanging from the ceiling as well. He finds one that is still alive and questions him.
Cherryvane wrote that Matt asks the survivor, "'Why did they do this to you?" to which the guy mumbles, "They? It was just a guy." The Tumblr user then writes that upon hearing that, "Matt stays dead silent, camera focusing on him."
Cherryvane's narration then moved on to describe the next scene which involves Matt Murdock standing on top of a building. Another man is shown with a sniper rifle but the Daredevil doesn't recognize him. It was Frank Castle, who is also known as The Punisher. He was about to pull the trigger to his target when Daredevil arrived in the nick of time, kicking the gun out from The Punisher's hand. The clip is said to have shown the two fighting and then the scene gets cut short by the Daredevil logo and the words "Netflix" and "2016."
The footage has yet to be leaked online but as already confirmed, the new protagonist role will be played by Jon Bernthal. Latin Post also noted that Elektra and Blake Tower are confirmed to join the show as well. The characters will be played by Elodie Yung and Stephen Rider respectively.
"Daredevil" season 2 will return to Netflix sometime in 2016.
