Dragon Ball Xenoverse Release in 2015, Network Test Reveals Current Character Roster

"Dragon Ball Xenoverse" is an upcoming fighting video game based on the Dragon Ball media franchise and is abbreviated as Dragon Ball XV. The game is developed by Dimps and will be published by Bandai Namco games. It will be released on the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, as well as on the PC. There is no exact release date but it is scheduled to come out sometime in 2015.

Only recently, Bandai Namco held a Network Test exclsuive to PlayStation 3 owners where they are to play the game with other players who have registered for the test. Players will start their adventure in Toki Toki City and will begin fighting each other there.

Bandai Namco had previously revealed in a tweet about the characters which will be available to play. Characters in this roster included Goku, Kid Gohan, Piccolo, Krillin, Yamcha, Tien, Raditz, Nappa, and Vegeta. Other characters to be included in the roster would likely be announced in the coming months up till release.

Unlike previous Dragon Ball games, Xenoverse will not be following the standard canon of the animated series and will feature a brand new story which includes a player-created character. The player-generated character is first seen in a trailer where a mysterious figure with a scouter, red hair, and a jacket with a Capsule Corporation logo on his sleeve is watching a fight between Goku and Vegeta.

Battles in the game are pretty much the same with previous games but will now take place in full 3D destructible environments. Stage environments are free-roaming open stages where players can choose to fight in the air, on the ground, and underwater. Characters will also react accordingly when they receive damage and depending on whom they are fighting.
