'Dying Light: The Following' DLC News – The Early 2016 Release Will Feature A New Setting and New Items

"Dying Light," the zombie survival game set in an apocalyptic world by Polish game developer Techland, is rumored to have its new DLC released within the first quarter of 2016. The DLC, which is titled "Dying Light: The Following," will be an expansion that will move players out of the present urban setting and into new surroundings.

Techland have taken many suggestions from players and have made the DLC according to their wishes. Apart from the new world, the DLC will also have new items, weapons, and a customizable dirt buggie. Players can now explore the many fields, farms, caves and waterfalls in this more expansive world found in "Dying Light: The Following."

Previously in the "Dying Light" game, players moved within the urban setting and had open world missions like killing the zombies and clearing the urban areas infested with flesh-eating zombies, saving other people and collecting much-needed supplies for surviving. They also had to perform the directed missions.

The rural setting seems to be less constrictive than the urban setting of block houses, subways and crowded places and will allow players to kill the zombies by using new weapons more suited to the open or by using weaponized vehicles.

The update will give players some brand new weapons like the crossbow and the UZI. One of the customizable vehicles is the dune buggy which players can change and modify by painting and designing it according to their choice.

Techland has been overwhelmed with the following that "Dying Light" has garnered and it says that the DLC is a 'thank you treat!' Furthermore, the developers have promised "something big that will give the game a brand-new flavor. We also kept a close eye on player feedback to help tailor what we've created here. Hopefully people will see that this new expansion is first and foremost, for the fans."

This new world found in the DLC will add around 10 hours of gameplay and will also feature the backstory of Kyle Crane who is the protagonist of the game.
