Final Fantasy 15 Release Date: Square Enix Announces March 2015 Launch

Square Enix, the Japanese video game developer, publisher, and distributor of the "Final Fantasy" game franchise, recently announced a March 2015 launching date for its much-awaited Final Fantasy 15, according to reports.

According to the publication, the company did initially plan to release the fifteenth main installment this year for PC, Xbox One, PS3 and PS4. However, due to some technical issues, the developer was forced to push back the unveiling to 2015.

Plot development of the game was formerly revealed at the 2013 E3 indicating that it will depart from the previous game's story line. It is said to provide a more realistic gaming atmosphere to which life-like human emotions and gestures are the main focus.

Square Enix recently disclosed their fiscal results for the year-ending March 3, 2014 and it shows relatively positive results but the game sales forecast were down from 12 million to 17.2 million units last year. The reports further suggest that the studio isn't entirely down for any major release this year but is rather building momentum for something huge in 2015.

But a report from Gear Nuke indicated otherwise. David Gibson, Square Enix's senior research analyst, purportedly implied that with the given game sales report, Final Fantasy XV won't be hitting the shelves at the March 2015 fiscal year ending.

Along with Final Fantasy 15, Kingdom Hearts 2.5 and 3 could also be featured at the upcoming Tokyo Game Show this coming September.
