'Final Fantasy XV' News: Two Battle Modes Explained

Development for "Final Fantasy XV" is in progress, and with the many questions of players who are waiting for the game's release, some answers have finally been answered by the game's lead designer.

According to IGN, Takizawa Masashi explained in the official forum how the difficulty level will work for two kinds of players — mainly those who want to be play in all-out action, and those who prefer to play with a more loosened up mode.

Masashi first mentioned how the game has been integrated with a system that allows for players to switch battle modes while playing. He then explained that the feature was created to give players an option that some games do not offer. "By having this ability to switch modes, we want to make it so that both players who like action oriented, technical gameplay and also those who want to fight at a slower, more relaxed pace can all enjoy the combat in their own style," he said.

The two battle modes will work best for gamers who are starting to feel the pressure of the game's technicalities and close-combat calls.

The designer further explained that the team came up with the idea after putting into consideration the feedback that came from those who were able to experience gameplay with the Episode Duscae demo.

Another thing that was discussed recently in the forum is the warp feature that has become a hot topic in other gaming forums. According to Siliconera, lead level designer Terada Takefumi explained that the warp feature allows players to teleport to "high up locations," meaning players can immediately move to a destination above the battlefield in tight situations.

Takefumi also said something about the team working on aerial battles that will surely boost the interest of fans. Aside from the buildings and other sites that are commonly seen in the franchise, aerial battlegrounds are expected to bring about a whole new experience to the "FF" fan.

"Final Fantasy XV" is scheduled to release sometime this year.
