5 classic pop songs influenced by the Bible

1. 'Turn! Turn! Turn!' — The Byrds (1966)

Easily the most well-known song to borrow liberally from the pages of Scripture, "Turn! Turn! Turn!" is based mainly on the book of Ecclesiastes, where Solomon explores the various seasons of life.

Apart from the title and the song's last two lines, "Turn! Turn! Turn!" lyrics consist of the first eight verses of Ecclesiastes 3

While the Byrds' version of the song was not the first, it remains one of the most famous classic rock songs of all time.
