The Presidential inauguration ceremony, often widely celebrated, this year was marred by Democratic leaders' boycotts (outgoing President Obama was present along with Bill and Hillary Clinton) and widespread protests, not only in Washington but throughout the country. But despite all the demonstrations, appeals for recounts and plain denial by the American people, Donald Trump is the new American President and will remain so at least for the next four years.
