Among the plot rumors for the film are exploring the nasty side effects of having a frozen heart, which means that fans may see the bad side of Anna. Another plot rumor is that Elsa will finally get a love life, but whether it's a guy or a girl will remain to be seen. There has been a strong rumor floating around that Elsa might be a lesbian, but that remains unconfirmed.

The directors are currently throwing ideas around for the sequel and that they are both having fun playing around with the growth of all the characters, especially after making the animated short film "Frozen Fever," which spawned many ideas for them.

The sequel may explore Elsa's fun side as seen in Frozen Fever where she was seen playing with her sister. Director Chris Buck spoke about seeing the other side of Elsa. "[In Frozen] she had such a dramatic journey, and at the end she's just starting to feel like she can open up and have some fun again. That's what was really good about the short [Frozen Fever] — we could have fun with Elsa. And that personality ... you will see in the next one," he said.

The film is rumored to be released on Nov. 21, 2018.
