Gospel Superfest to Draw Thousands in New York

Thousands are expected to attend a live taping of Gospel Superfest, which this year features Vivica A. Fox and Clifton Davis. The Hollywood stars are going live in New York on Oct. 27-28 with a host of other artists preaching the Gospel through song.

"We are sure that everyone in attendance will have an awesome time as the artists minister God's Word through song," said Executive Producer Dr. Bobby Cartwright in a released statement.

Gospel Superfest returns to New York for the third consecutive year in three-hour nightly recording sessions featuring music, dance and comedy and an expected audience of over 7,000 people from around the world.

The Gospel Superfest TV Series is the most widely distributed gospel television show in domestic syndication, the report cited Nielsen Media Research, and is one of the leading gospel programs distributed to Christian cable networks, including The Trinity Broadcasting Network, The Word Network, and the Daystar TV Network.

The show is in syndication with networks such as ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX and reaches around 94 million TV households with each broadcast, the report said.

Producers of Gospel Superfest expect this season's broadcasts to reach approximately 95 percent of all U.S. television households through some 250 TV stations nationwide.

Gospel Superfest "Live New York," founded in 1995, is produced by United Television LLC. Stemming from a successful Gospel Winterfest in 1998, Gospel Superfest launched in Louisville, Ky., at the turn of the century with over 30 national recording artists including American Music-Award winning duo Mary Mary.
