Greg Halman Killed by His Own Brother?

U.S. baseball player Gregory Halman was found stabbed to death this morning in Rotterdam, Holland. It has been reported that Halman, who played for the Seattle Mariners, was stabbed by his own brother.

A spokesman for the Rotterdam police confirmed the incident, saying: “A 24-year-old died this morning in a stabbing and we have arrested the 22-year-old brother of the victim.”

Halman, 24, was bleeding from a stab wound in the early morning hours on Monday when police entered the home. His brother Jason, 22, was arrested and is currently being interrogated by police.

Police spokeswoman Patricia Wessels said: “He is under arrest and right now he is being questioned. It will take some time to figure out what exactly happened.”

Gregory Antony Halman was born in Haarlem, in the Netherlands. After playing for the Dutch major league team in 2003, he moved to the U.S. in 2004 after signing with the Seattle Mariners.

The outfielder hit 33 home runs in 2010 at the team’s Triple A team in Tacoma, according to the DailyMail. He also played 35 games for the Mariners last season, scoring seven runs. He held a batting average of .230.
