'Hitman: Game of the Year Edition' News: Eveyrthing to Know

Developed by IO Interactive and published by Square Enix, "Hitman" is one of the most popular episodic stealth video games currently loved by the community. Considering that IO Interactive is now separated from Square Enix, many fans wondered if they would get to see some additional and exciting new content for "Hitman," even though the developers still owned the rights to the game.

Recent reports have revealed that after a long wait, IO Interactive has announced some content for the game title in the form of "Hitman: Game of the Year Edition."

"This is our first new content release since becoming an independent studio and we had an absolute blast putting it together for you," game developer IO Interactive said in a statement. "We hope you enjoy playing it as much as we did making it – get ready to have your multi-colored socks blown right off!

The "Hitman: GOTY Edition" will introduce a new four-mission campaign, known as the Patient Zero campaign, and it will be held In four of the existing locations in the game: Bangkok, Hokkaido, Colorado, and Sapienza.

Furthermore, each of the missions and locations will feature new gameplay, challenges, and music that will help showcase the developers' hard work and dedication to the fans. For those who have already purchased the initial release of "Hitman," the entire season one of the episodic game titles is also included in the "Hitman: Game of the Year Edition."

Aside from the overwhelming amount of new content, "Hitman: Game of the Year Edition" will also feature three new costumes, which will be accompanied by similarly themed weapons. These are the Clown Suit and the New Bat, the Raven suit and the rifle Sieger 300 Ghost, and the Cowboy Suit with the pistol The Striker.

For those who already own "Hitman: The Complete First Season," "Hitman: GOTY Edition" will be available as an add-on on Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox Store for $19.99. Meanwhile, for those who have yet to own the series, the complete package along with the new edition will be sold for $59.99. "Hitman: Game of the Year Edition" is scheduled to be released on Nov. 7.
