Huawei P9 Lite Spotted in Russian Site, Rumored Specs Include 5.2-Inch Display, 13 MP Camera, 3,000mAH Battery

Chinese smartphone manufacturer Huawei recently launched its flagships smartphones P9 and P9 Plus during an event in London. However, as noted in Pocket-Lint, there was no mention of its third variant dubbed as the P9 Lite. Not a lot is known about it but there were few tips running around. And while there are no official details yet, there are new photos of the model that surfaced.

According to a report by NDTV Gadgets, a Russian site has released some photos of the Huawei P9 Lite which revealed some of the specs and features of the said variant. It is said that the smartphone will carry a 5.2-inch Full HD display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 and a pixel density of 423ppi. Know Your Mobile noted that the version is not a "mini" or "compact" version as it still carries the same display size with the P9 and P9 Plus.

But the device may have been tagged as "lite" because it does not have the P9 and P9 Plus signature feature which is the dual-Leica camera. Both the P9 and P9 Plus features two 12-megapixel sensors which in turn provides sharp, detailed shots whether in good light or low light conditions. This particular feature is said to be missing in the P9 Lite but it will have a more upfront single 13 megapixels sensor with a single LED flash at the rear. On the front will be an 8-megapixel secondary camera.

As of the current, there is no word yet on what chipset will be used in the device but there are rumors saying that it will be have two RAM variants. One will have 2 GB of RAM while the other one will have a 3 GB of RAM. The storage space of each variant is expected to be different from one another as well but the only one that is mentioned so far is the 16 GB. A microSD card slot is available, allowing an expansion of up to 128 GB. A 3,000mAh battery is also expected to keep the lights on of the device.

Since there is no official announcement from Huawei yet regarding the P9 Lite, it's best to take reports with a pinch of salt until further notice.
