"I never wanted any of this. I never wanted to be in the Games. I just wanted to save my sister," she says. She is then seen in a video conference with President Snow, who is holding her boyfriend, Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) captive in the Capitol.

Katniss is shown accepting the role of the Mockingjay—a symbol of the open rebellion of all the Districts against the Capitol. The rebellion starts, but then a video of Peeta is released which confirms that he is still alive. In the footage, he urges the rebels to put down their weapons.

"Peeta is the Capitol's weapon, the same way you're ours," explains Haymitch (Woody Harrelson) to Katniss.

"The Hunger Games: Mockingjay- Part 1" opens on Nov. 21.
