'Jane the Virgin' Season 4 Spoilers: Has Rafael Found His Ticket Back to The Marbella?

Rafael Solano (Justin Baldoni) may have found his ticket to take back his position at The Marbella, and a new character will join the cast in the upcoming fourth season of "Jane the Virgin."

A new face will be joining the cast of the CW series in the latest installment. According to Deadline, the show has tapped on "Telenovela" alum Alex Meneses to play a pivotal recurring role. She is set to portray a businesswoman named Katherine, a potential investor to The Marbella. Katherine is the rich owner of the Cortes Hotel Conglomerate and while very few details have been released about her, speculations are rife that she may help Rafael take back what is rightfully his as a Solano.

Last season, Rafael was kicked out by his sister Luisa (Yara Martinez). He is no longer part of the hotel board of directors and does not even have a home to stay. Rafael will reportedly find solace in Jane's (Gina Rodriguez) family who will gladly take him in. Katherine may be the wild card he needs to return to The Marbella and overthrow Luisa.

Meanwhile, IB Times reported that Rodriguez will be directing one of the upcoming episodes in season 4. The actress shared the news on her Twitter account, but she did not mention which episode she would be handling.

Jane's love life will also see a lot of changes. It has already been teased that she would be involved in a messy triangle between Rafael and her first love, Adam (Tyler Posey). Executive producer Jennie Snyder Urman revealed that Adam would definitely turn Jane's world upside down. She also hinted that there would be more to her and Rafael's story. The two have been pining for each other for a long time now.

"Adam's arrival definitely changes the course of Jane's life and trajectory. Our show likes to construct, deconstruct, and reconstruct the idea of 'meant to be,'" Urman said. "Whereas Jane started off believing whole-heartedly in the idea that you are 'meant to' be with one person, as she matures, and the show matures, we look at that question, and ask if it's really true. Or is life, and romantic love, more about timing? We are, of course, always teasing out the possibility of Jane and Rafael— but we aren't looking at a traditional love triangle with those three. And I can't say anymore!"

"Jane the Virgin" season 4 will air on Friday, Oct. 13, at 9 p.m. EDT on the CW.
