Liberal podcasters Jennifer Welch and Angie Sullivan stoked a swift firestorm of backlash Thursday for laughing at a joke about desecrating the late TPUSA founder Charlie Kirk's body in the wake of Democratic midterm victories.

While reading social media comments during a post-election episode of her "I've Had It" podcast, titled "Drinking MAGA Tears," Welch joined Sullivan in laughing for nearly 30 seconds in response to an X post that said: "We're digging up Charlie Kirk and doing it again."

"No comment," Welch said as the two women put their heads down and giggled to the point of tears. They claimed without evidence that Kirk's accused killer, Tyler Robinson, was "a MAGA person" from a "white MAGA family." Welch has previously attacked Erika Kirk and described Charlie as an "unrepentant, racist, homophobic" figure who "justified" his own death by his views on the Second Amendment.

Other posts the two women found humorous included comments snarking about abortions, vaccines, transgender pronouns and Sharia law.

Many X users were outraged at Welch and Sullivan for mocking Kirk, with some describing their attitude as overtly demonic despite its air of self-righteousness. Turning Point USA spokesperson Andrew Kolvet responded: "I don't know where, when, or how, whether in this life or the next, but Jennifer Welch will regret being an ugly, demonic witch who laughs at the murder of an innocent man."

"In all of their hatred and blood thirst, these ghouls seriously consider themselves morally superior to you," said conservative activist Riley Gaines.

"They will celebrate your death, laugh uncontrollably, and still be fully convinced they're the 'good guys,'" conservative influencer Collin Rugg said.

Political commentator Joe Concha described the clip of Welch and Sullivan as "the sickest thing I've ever seen. Ever. This is pure hate and pure evil." He went on to condemn liberal journalists Katie Couric and Jim Acosta for having praised them in the past.

"Cruelty operates very much like a drug addiction, the effects wear off quickly and always require higher doses just to maintain, until you barely resemble a human being anymore," said Fox News columnist David Marcus.

Conservative activist Robby Starbuck suggested that the gleeful attitude the women showed toward the murder of their political opponent is increasingly commonplace on the Left, and that the political atmosphere in the U.S. is poised to darken as such people regain power.

"National Democrats love and uplift this demon who thinks it would be funny to dig up Charlie's corpse and murder him again. That's who just got power over Congress and the majority of governor positions," he said. "If you're expecting moderation from psychopaths, you must be smoking crack. They're totally deranged and they'll only get worse."

Welch, a former Bravo reality star and atheist interior designer who grew up in the Bible Belt of Oklahoma, has repeatedly prompted outrage for her vulgar rhetoric that exhibits open hatred toward conservatives, especially Christians. She prompted national headlines and pushback from the U.S. Department of Education in July when she railed against homeschooling as a "crazy Christian problem" that leads to "trickle-down stupidity."

"You have to be dumber than a box of hot rocks to sit down with your kids and teach them that dinosaurs and man lived on the planet at the same time, that the Earth is 5,000 years old, and on and on," she said, calling Christian homeschoolers "dumb f—s." She went on to claim that homeschooling is an attempt to promote fascism and demean women by forcing them to stay with "their piece of s—, closet-case husbands."

Last month, Welch went viral for appearing to metaphorically call on her audience to keep "pistols firing" at Vice President J.D. Vance and to defeat him at the ballot box in 2028.
