Justin Bieber Robot Speakers a Big Hit at CES 2012 (VIDEO)
Pop superstar Justin Bieber has teamed up with the Vietnamese electronics company TOSY to introduce the "MRobo" dancing robot.
The unveiling took place Thursday at the International Consumer Electronic Show (CES) in Las Vegas. TOSY Robotics recruited the 17-year-old singer to demonstrate the bass portable speaker and robot.
Bieber lifted a scarf of the innovative dancing robot, which doubles as a stereo.
The white robot gadget nods his head, does splits, and plays air guitar to the beat of the song being played. The device contains 2GB of internal storage, which is about 500 songs.
Ahead of the appearance, Wednesday Bieber announced to his 16.3 million Twitter followers that he was attending CES. He tweeted: "Heading to vegas in the morning for CES. gonna see what is coming next. #gadgetNERD."
The robot transforms into a speaker by folding in the arms, legs, and head. When folded, the MRobo weights about 3.3 pounds and measures 4.3 by 6.3 by 7.9 inches (WLH), and just over 17 inches when it transforms into a robot.
"Not only do they have a great new way to listen to their favorite songs, but they also have a new partner to dance to their favorite music with," explained TOSY Robotic's CEO and founder Ho Vinh Hoang.
Battery-operated, the MRobo "uses software to analyze music for beats and rhythms to which it responds with corresponding moves," said TOSY.
Following the unveiling, Bieber met with fans to sign autographs at the electronics show. Watch the video of Bieber at CES below:

At last year's CES a different celebrity was on the show room's floor. Lady Gaga appeared at the event for Polaroid.
